Line-up

The band's third album, Turn Back, marked the return to the traditional sextet arrangement of previous albums and was a stronger, more consistent effort that had a harder edge than Hydra. The more experimental sound of Turn Back reflected the development of the group. The drummer Bobby Kimball's increasing virtuosity was reflected by the vocals of Joseph Williams, who had become more confident and mature.
