The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great option if you're looking to buy a mid-priced mop and robot vacuum. It gives a great mopping experience, but it lacks the features that make up its more expensive counterpart.

In tests it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium pile. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to map out your home.

Roomba s9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the best smart mopping robot-rated robots. It has a lot of features and impressive cleaning power, such as the dirt compartment integrated into the charging base. This robot can learn your habits for cleaning and suggest automated schedules to provide you with an effortless cleaning experience.

It's easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning functions with the touch of one button. You can opt for a general clean that prioritizes cleaning up larger debris like rice and cereal or go for two thorough mappings of your space to ensure your entire home is properly arranged.

This robot vacuum is effective on both floors with no carpet and carpets with a low pile. It can take in large objects and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as some other models, and it can even clean up pet hair without much difficulty. It's not able to work with plush or high-pile carpets however iRobot claims that future models will be more efficient.

The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that focuses on enhancing the edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to be able to swaddle walls and furniture. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are standard however we found it only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also has an advanced filtration system which blocks tiny particles and allergens from circulating in your home. It's a nice claim, but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price price.

In terms of the mopping device, I was impressed by its ability to scrub off tough dirt from my floors. The two mopping modes that it has that are less aggressive than the high-powered ones, create minimal noise, allowing you to work or even watch television without interruption. If it encounters an object, such as a wall or piece of furniture, it gently bumps into it before moving on.

What makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost completely on its own, with no need for human intervention. The dock of the robo-vac has multiple functions and can automatically transfer trash into a hidden bin. It also cleans and dries the clean water tank. The app will only inform you when something is not right like a low clean water tank or a canceled vacuuming session due to a full bin.

You can also combine or create rooms to personalize the way Q Revo manages your home. This feature is helpful if you have different flooring in different areas of your home, or in the event that you have to regularly clear out clutter such as toys, clothes and books. The robot vacuum was also among the top performers in my tests cleaning up debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors with the first attempt. It can vacuum up even wet spills. I suggest drying the area with a towel prior to sending it to.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a high-end robot vacuum and mop combo and more. It has an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that is functional even if you are not at home. It also comes with more mopping modes and an intelligent routing feature which allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead simply following a predetermined path.

The Omni X2 Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested due to its rotating mop pads that scrub away tough stains and a motor that produces plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming capabilities are excellent too, and it boosts suction when it senses carpet to ensure it's doing an excellent job. It is equipped with a large rechargeable battery that lasts up to one week. The mopping mode of the robot is also powerful.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a high-end model that has a range of features that aren't typically found on robots in this price range. It can make precise floor maps and recognize different flooring types. It's also among the few robots that can automatically clean and dry its mop pad. While these features are great however, they also push the L10s Ultra into the category of luxury which could make it somewhat more expensive than the average homeowner need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It's tall and slim with a white finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper that helps protect furniture and the vacuum from damage when moving around the home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane which help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, there's a single button that essentially serves as the on/off switch. This button will turn on the vacuum. If you click it again, it will turn it off and transmit it back to its base station. The center of the control panel is a circular menu that allows you to select cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences.
