It has some issues on carpet but is still superior to other robots in this price range. The Roomba EVO is also very adept at navigating between various floor types. It isn't stuck on transitions as older models. Dual multi-surface brushes can flex and adapt to various flooring types. They also aren't able to tangle pet hair.

The i3+ EVO has a weaker obstacle-avoiding capability than the other robots we tested. It repeatedly ran into objects like handbags, pet toys, and shoes before continuing its route. It also had difficulty with coarse kosher sea salt, which it blew around instead of taking it up.

The i3+ EVO has a lot of amazing features that make it worth the additional cost compared to other Roomba models, like self-emptying bins and advanced control through the app. You can schedule cleanings and set up custom routines. You can also designate zones that prohibit the robot from entering certain areas. The smart scheduling system can suggest additional cleanings during peak allergy times, based on your regular routine. Its navigation system is unstable however, and it sometimes vacuums in erratic lines like diagonals or zigzags rather than parallel to walls.

The vacuum does an excellent job of picking up pet hair on carpeting. However, it doesn't have as much power as our top choices.

However, the Roborock S4 Max is better constructed, requires less time to recharge than the Shark and comes with more automated and scheduling options and support for zones that are not allowed to be used. We'd still recommend the Shark when you're looking to buy something less expensive, or in the event that you prefer using your mobile phone to control and monitor instead of a remote that is specifically designed for it.

5. Bissell SpinWave Dry and Wet

This robot can do both vacuuming and mopping. The two-tank system of this robot allows it to mop or vacuum at the push of one button. In our tests it was able to easily switch between different surfaces and was excellent at cleaning pet fur from hardwood floors and carpets.
